The membership participation ceremony organized by the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency at the Rauf Denktaş Cultural Center has become the subject of a new debate due to one of the individuals who received a pin.

It was stated that Şengül Yılmaz, who received a pin from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at the ceremony, is not a new member; she was a 27th Term Istanbul parliamentary candidate nominee for the CHP and has been a party member for many years.

It was also noted that Yılmaz serves as a member of the CHP Headquarters Sports Board and the Istanbul City Council Executive Board.

This situation became a topic of discussion on social media and within party circles following the announcement that pins were being presented to new members at the ceremony.

The ceremony had previously been debated over allegations of "extras." In a report by BirGün reporter Ebru Çelik, it was claimed that a large number of people were brought to the event through various casting agencies with the promise of a payment of 950 TL per person. The same report alleged that participants were made to rehearse certain slogans and that approximately 50 people were dressed in CHP Youth Branch vests.

During the program, the remarks made by Gürsel Tekin, who has been carrying out the duties of the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency following a court decision, to the staff on stage also became a topic of discussion. In the footage, Tekin was seen saying, "What are these friends doing here? Barış, I am really going to put you through a lesson. Get these friends down," and was also seen reacting to the staff regarding the pins.

In his speech at the ceremony, Kılıçdaroğlu used the phrase "party of the future" for the CHP, drawing attention with his words: "The Republican People's Party is the party of the future. It is one of the parties in the world that has remained standing for over 100 years. It is an unpolluted party. It is a party that must be purified. Anyway, thank God that has largely been achieved as well."
