Durbay, who struggled with health issues throughout her term, had also been in the spotlight due to allegations that surfaced in the public eye following her surgery. In articles published on an Antalya-based local news website, Ebru Küçükaydın had made defamatory claims against Durbay and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
It was reported to the public that Küçükaydın was convicted in the lawsuit filed due to the aforementioned articles.
Following Durbay's passing, claims emerged that Ebru Küçükaydın had suffered a heart attack. These claims appeared in some news reports on the day of Durbay's death.
According to information obtained later, it was learned that Ebru Küçükaydın had suffered a heart spasm three days ago and was hospitalized as a result.
