It was claimed that the money was returned: Allegation from Nagehan Alçı regarding Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya

Journalist Nagehan Alçı has raised a new allegation regarding former AKP minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and her husband İlyas Kaya, who were mentioned in the widely discussed fund scandal.

Claims had surfaced that Kaya and her husband had returned approximately 2.2 billion TL in earnings, which were allegedly obtained through stock trading over a 5-month period. A report by Ekonomim had suggested that the amount in question was transferred to a bank account designated by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

Alçı, however, stated in a broadcast on her YouTube channel that this information had not been verified for her. Explaining that she had consulted her sources, Alçı said, "It was claimed that the 2.2 billion lira was returned. Ekonomim reported this very clearly. Other sites picked it up as well. I asked my sources. I was told by one or two sources I trust that this news is not true. Besides, there is no legal process currently underway, so they cannot return it at this stage."
