İYİ Party GİK had rejected the cooperation: 3 council members resigned

İYİ Party's rejection of CHP's cooperation proposal yesterday evening has led to a new development in the wave of resignations that followed.

According to the report by Ergün Demir from T24, 3 İYİ Party members of the Körfez Municipal Council announced their resignations, stating that their party has become unable to produce qualified opposition, let alone aim for power.

"A NECESSITY TO RESIGN HAS ARISEN"

The resigning İYİ Party council members of Körfez Municipality, Fevzi Canbaz, lawyer Ender Oğuz, and Arif Ersoy, stated in their announcement that their party has become unable to produce qualified opposition.

In the statement, which noted that "there is no trust or belief left in the party's base," it was stated, "A necessity for us to resign from the İYİ Party, which we have clearly seen and understood in the final stage that it has no chance to serve the public and does not even aim to do so, has arisen."

"LET ALONE AIMING FOR POWER..."

The full text of the statement made by the members is as follows:

"With the consciousness of serving our homeland, we traveled to countless provinces and districts together with the Honorable Chairperson during the establishment phase of the İYİ Party, and we continued our work with great devotion without distinguishing between any duty or position. However, at the point reached, it is clearly seen that the İYİ Party has become unable to produce qualified opposition, let alone aim for power. Moreover, the party's cadres are unfortunately built on loyalty, not merit.

"THERE IS NO TRUST OR BELIEF LEFT IN THE BASE"

As we saw very clearly in the last general elections and as is seen in the upcoming local elections, it is obvious that the candidate determination process is the result of backroom dealings and negotiations that turn a deaf ear to all the rhetoric of the organizations and the base, and are far from democracy. It is very clearly seen that there is no trust or belief left in the party's base.

"IT WAS CLEARLY SEEN THAT THERE IS NO CHANCE TO SERVE THE PUBLIC"

Everything that was criticized by the party management until yesterday has now become something they do themselves. Furthermore, it has taken on a structure that ignores and marginalizes the children of the party who have given their hearts and labor to the İYİ Party without thinking of any future or interest, that absolutely does not accept even criticism, and that excludes those who do not think like itself. A necessity for us to resign from the İYİ Party, which we have clearly seen and understood in the final stage that it has no chance to serve the public and does not even aim to do so, has arisen.

However, it should never be forgotten that; as the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, ‘We will never be hopeless, we will work, we will save the country.’. With this devotion, we will continue our service to the ancient Turkish Nation with great courage and determination, just as we did on the first day. Finally, we would like to thank all our friends and laborers we met and whose paths crossed with ours during our time in the İYİ Party for their efforts, and we present our respects."
