İYİ Party Istanbul Candidate Buğra Kavuncu discusses his promises: 'We will turn Istanbul into a festival city'

İYİ Party Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) mayoral candidate Buğra Kavuncu spoke about his promises for young people at an iftar program organized by General Administrative Board Member Emin Yetim.

"WE ARE REDUCING THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE TO 180 LIRA"

Highlights from Kavuncu's speech are as follows:

Kavuncu said, "Currently, monthly subscription fees are 250 lira. On the day we become the municipality, we will reduce this to 180 lira. We have based this on the salary of a minimum wage earner. They will allocate 1 percent of the minimum wage to public transport. If the minimum wage is increased tomorrow, we as the municipality will only increase public transport fares to the extent that the money you spend on public transport will never exceed the minimum wage. Public transport will be free for all young people under 18."

Stating that they will turn Istanbul into a festival city, Kavuncu noted that a festival will be organized every month.

"ISTANBUL HAS CHRONIC PROBLEMS"

"We aimed to enter all 920 neighborhoods of Istanbul and we did so in 7 months. We have traversed all the neighborhoods and streets of Istanbul. We have created a long and detailed inventory. In this inventory, we identified Istanbul's problems. Istanbul has chronic problems. Most of these concern you, the youth, in particular. One is housing. Under the heading of housing, there is the problem of urban transformation and earthquakes. Istanbul is a city that carries earthquake risk. Do not vote for any mayoral candidate who does not satisfy you or provide you with confidence."
