İYİ Party Istanbul Provincial Vice Chair resigns
İYİ Party Istanbul Provincial Vice Chair Cem Koçtürk has resigned from his party.
In the İYİ Party, a new one has been added to the consecutive resignations. İYİ Party Istanbul Provincial Vice Chair Cem Koçtürk announced his resignation from the party in a statement he made on social media. Koçtürk said he was 'tired of the underhanded games and incompetence.'
STATED HE WOULD NOT JOIN THE AKP
Stating, "I have a promise to my children for a Turkish homeland illuminated by the light of Atatürk, and I must fight. My resignation has nothing to do with recent developments," Koçtürk said he would not join the AKP but would continue in politics.
Saying that the reasons for the resignations in the İYİ Party were not being thought about or evaluated, Koçtürk said, "Those who label everyone who leaves the party as a traitor, those who believe that everyone who leaves is bad, should not forget that the real issue is the structure that has nested within the party and formed cliques based on self-interest, and that they are applauding this structure and order that wastes all of Meral Akşener's sacrifices and efforts."
I am resigning from the İYİ Party, to which I have dedicated my efforts for 5 years. I am tired of the ambitions, underhanded games, and incompetence.
