İYİ Party Kayseri Deputy Dursun Ataş resigns
Dursun Ataş, the 27th and 28th Term Kayseri Deputy for the İYİ Party and a member of the National Defense Commission, has announced his resignation. With this move, the number of İYİ Party deputies has fallen to 31.
Dursun Ataş, who has been elected as a deputy for the İYİ Party for two terms, has resigned from his party.
It is understood that Ataş will continue his path as an independent for the time being.
With this, the number of 'independent deputies' in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has risen to 7, while the number of İYİ Party deputies has fallen to 31.

The İYİ Party secured 44 seats in the 28th Term Parliamentary General Elections with 9.69 percent of the vote.
Following Ataş's resignation, the number of İYİ Party deputies has dropped to 31.
Three deputies have changed parties, one deputy was expelled, and nine deputies have resigned to become independents.
THOSE WHO CHANGED PARTIES
The first resignation from the İYİ Party began on November 2, 2023, with the defection of İYİ Party Eskişehir Deputy İdris Nebi Hatipoğlu to the AKP.
On December 6, 2023, İYİ Party Istanbul Deputy Ayşe Sibel Yanıkömeroğlu announced her resignation from the party. On April 24, 2024, Özgür Özel announced at the CHP group meeting that Ayşe Sibel Yanıkömeroğlu had joined the CHP.
On May 31, 2024, İYİ Party Antalya Deputy Aykut Kaya announced his resignation from the party. On June 4, 2024, Özgür Özel announced at the CHP group meeting that Aykut Kaya had joined the CHP.
THOSE EXPELLED
On December 5, 2023, Ümit Dikbayır was expelled from the İYİ Party.
THOSE WHO LEFT THEIR PARTIES TO BECOME INDEPENDENT
Adnan Beker on November 16, 2023, Salim Ensarioğlu on December 15, 2023, Yüksel Arslan on December 21, 2023, Bilal Bilici on May 15, 2024, Seyithan İzsiz on June 14, 2024, Koray Aydın on June 27, 2024, Ahmet Ersagun Yücel on July 22, 2024, and Nimet Özdemir on July 24, 2024, resigned from the İYİ Party to become independent deputies. Most recently, on September 6, 2024, Kayseri Deputy Dursun Ataş resigned.
