A "Transparency, Equality, and Anti-Waste Circular" has been sent to municipalities affiliated with the İYİ Party, signed by Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu and Head of Local Governments Cumali Durmuş.
In a statement from the party, it was noted that the circular was prepared to ensure that İYİ Party-affiliated municipalities use public resources effectively, efficiently, and fairly, to adopt principles of transparency and accountability, and to raise ethical standards in public administration.
SHOULD BE APPLIED AS A PRINCIPLE IN ALL MUNICIPALITIES
It was recommended that the circular be applied as a principle in all municipalities across Turkey. The circular includes 7 points under 3 headings: "Principle of Equality and Transparency," "Prevention of Waste," and "Protection of Natural Life and Sustainability."
Under the heading "Principle of Equality and Transparency," the warning was issued: "All appointments and promotions within İYİ Party municipalities must be carried out based on merit; recruitment and promotion processes must be based on the qualifications, experience, and performance of the candidates. Mayors and administrators must avoid making appointments or promotions of family members or individuals with whom they have close relationships."
