The İYİ Party explained the magnitude of 20 billion dollars through various calculations in a video published on its social media account regarding the fund crisis. In the video shared under the title "What does 20 billion dollars mean?", it was stated that the amount in question corresponds to 984 billion 300 million liras at the current exchange rate.
In the video, it was stated that according to the İYİ Party's calculation, the Turkish Lira equivalent of 20 billion dollars would amount to 4 billion 921 million 500 thousand 200-lira banknotes. It was noted that 197 trucks would be needed to transport this money.
The post also included information that if the banknotes were laid out side by side, they would cover an area of 56.7 square kilometers. For comparison, it was stated that the total surface area of the Fatih, Beyoğlu, Beşiktaş, and Zeytinburnu districts in Istanbul is 54.1 square kilometers.
The video emphasized that with this calculation, all four districts could be covered with the banknotes. The İYİ Party's post ended with the phrase, "What kind of money is this?"
