CHP, having rejected the cooperation proposal for the local elections, the İYİ Party has begun work to determine its candidates in metropolitan cities.
It is being awaited with curiosity which names İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener will field against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, whom she had pointed to as presidential candidates during the crisis process within the Table of Six during the presidential elections.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, while the İYİ Party is struggling to field candidates in Istanbul and Ankara, the administration's Ankara plan has emerged. Because the CHP's candidate in Ankara is the nationalist-rooted Mansur Yavaş and it is considered certain that the AKP will also nominate the nationalist-rooted Turgut Altınok, the İYİ Party is considering a candidate with nationalist roots for Ankara.
KÜRŞAD ZORLU OR OKTAY VURAL FOR ANKARA, BUĞRA KAVUNCU FOR ISTANBUL
In Ankara, the names of Party Spokesperson Kürşad Zorlu and Oktay Vural are being mentioned. For Istanbul, Buğra Kavuncu is being considered. Metin Ergun is being pointed to for Muğla, and Turhan Çömez for Balıkesir. While Gökhan Zan is being considered for Hatay, which was most affected by the February 6 earthquakes, it is considered certain that Burhanettin Kocamaz will be nominated in Mersin.
