İYİ Party's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate nominee announced

İYİ Party Group Spokesperson Dr. Suat Sarı, in a post on his social media account X, quoted the claims regarding his candidacy and said, ''I am setting out as an İYİ Party İBB Mayoral Candidate Nominee to solve Istanbul's problems.''

Sarı had emphasized that he was 'ready to set out' in statements he gave to Cumhuriyet Newspaper and had signaled his İBB mayoral candidacy.

''Dear Istanbulites,

With the experience I gained at the İBB, where I served as an 'Executive Bureaucrat' at a young age, my 35 years of expertise in the field of 'Traffic and Transportation,' and my experience as an 'İBB Council Member'; I am setting out as an İYİ Party İBB Mayoral Candidate Nominee to solve Istanbul's problems. Unless different solution methods are applied by expert hands regarding our city's chronic problems, the complaints of our fellow Istanbulites will not cease. It is clear that we must enter a period where merit is appreciated by politics and the nation. With this claim; we have started our work with a large team of technocrats who are experts in urban planning to develop permanent and sustainable solutions to Istanbul's problems. It is not impossible for our Istanbul to become more livable, more comfortable, fairer, greener, and safer. For all of this; it is enough for merit to be in power. With love and respect.
