BAHÇELİ: JULY 15 IS AN IDEAL OF RESISTANCE AND STANDING TALL AGAINST AN ATTEMPTED OCCUPATION WITH FAITH AND WILL

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shared a message on his social media account for the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, stating the following:

"July 15 is an ideal of resistance and standing tall with faith and will against an externally linked attempt at treason and occupation. I pray for God's mercy upon our July 15 martyrs and all our martyrs, and I wish our veterans long and healthy lives. On the occasion of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, I advise those who are preparing dark scenarios against Turkey to realize what sacrifices the Turkish nation is willing to make in times of disaster."

MINISTER FİDAN: IT WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan shared a post on his social media account regarding July 15.

Stating that "FETÖ, which infiltrated the most sensitive organs of our state like an intelligence organization, was exposed as a result of the failure of the February 7 and December 17/25 conspiracies it prepared with its elements within the police and judiciary," Fidan continued as follows:

"The attempt by this terrorist organization to seize the state through a coup by using its extensions within the army on July 15 was thwarted by our nation under the leadership of our President. The total struggle waged against FETÖ following the July 15 epic has once again shown that those who attempt to usurp the will of the Turkish nation will not go unpunished. We continue to take every step with determination to bring the members of this organization, which has been dismantled in our country, to justice abroad. Our noble nation will never allow those forces, whether primary or proxy, that threaten its independence to succeed. I commemorate our July 15 martyrs who gave their lives for this cause with mercy and express my gratitude to our veterans."

MINISTER GÖKTAŞ: WE WILL PASS ON THE 'VICTORY OF THE NATION' FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated in a post on her social media account, "We have not forgotten, and we will not forget, our heroes who stopped the treacherous FETÖ coup attempt with their own bodies without hesitation to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the crescent, nor how that dark night turned into daylight. We will keep the spirit of July 15 alive in these lands forever and pass on the 'Victory of the Nation,' achieved under the historic leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, from generation to generation. On the anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt that targeted our democracy and national unity, I commemorate our noble martyrs with mercy and express my gratitude to our veterans."

MINISTER BOLAT: WE WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP THE SPIRIT OF JULY 15 ALIVE

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat said, "On the night of July 15, our noble nation, drawing strength from its glorious history, showed a glorious resistance against the treacherous coup attempt targeting the future of our country. The spirit of resistance, integrated with the leadership shown by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the profound courage of our nation that serves as an example to the world, played a major role in ensuring that the plans of the putschists and the powers behind them, who targeted our state, our future, our economy, and our security, were doomed to failure. On the night of July 15, we stood hand-in-hand as state and nation against the attacks targeting our state, our institutions, our Grand National Assembly, our cities, and the will of our nation, and repelled the treacherous attack that sought to plunge the future of our Turkey into darkness. With these thoughts, on the anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt that targeted the independence and unity of our country, I pray for God's mercy upon all our sons of the homeland who were martyred on the night of July 15 and express my gratitude to our veterans. MINISTER KACIR: JULY 15 IS THE VICTORY OF THE NATION WON UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF OUR PRESIDENT

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır included the following in his message: "July 15 is the name of the heroic struggle and the epic written by the Turkish nation, protecting its independence and future, together with its women and men, young and old. It is the Victory of the Nation won under the leadership of our President and Commander-in-Chief Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I commemorate with mercy our heroes who rushed to martyrdom so as not to let their honor be trampled, from that generation the poet referred to as 'I was saying the generation of Asım; it is a real generation...', and I remember our glorious veterans with gratitude."

MINISTER ERSOY: WE WILL ALWAYS PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY AND NATIONAL UNITY

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated in a message shared on his social media account, "July 15 is an epic written by our noble nation as one heart at the cost of their lives. We will never forget this epic of heroism, and we will always keep it alive with a spirit of unity and solidarity. Looking to the future with hope in the Century of Turkey, we will always protect our democracy and national unity with our determination to carry our country to stronger tomorrows. On the occasion of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, I commemorate our heroic martyrs with mercy and our veterans with gratitude and appreciation."

MINISTER TUNÇ: THE ERA OF COUPS IN OUR COUNTRY HAS CLOSED FOREVER

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç included the following statements in a message shared on his social media account:

"On the 8th anniversary of the treacherous July 15 coup attempt, I condemn all coups and coup attempts; I commemorate our dear martyrs who gave their lives for our homeland, our independence, and our democracy with mercy, and I express my gratitude to our veterans. I congratulate our noble nation, whose history is full of heroism, on the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. The treacherous coup attempt carried out on July 15, 2016, is a turning point for our noble nation. The tutelary mentality, which could not achieve its goal through coups, memorandums, conspiracies, and street events, wanted to destroy the constitutional order and national will through FETÖ, and attempted to overthrow our President and the government elected by the votes of the people. Our noble nation, just as it did in the National Struggle, did not allow the traitors to pass on July 15, and by flocking to the squares upon the call of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, wrote a new epic of heroism with a love for the homeland and the flag. Our nation, standing tall against the traitors, once again taught the whole world a lesson in democracy with its honorable struggle. One of the most important elements in preventing the treacherous coup attempt was undoubtedly the impartial and independent judiciary. From the very first moment of the coup attempt, the Offices of the Chief Public Prosecutor launched their investigations and issued detention and arrest warrants for the coup plotters. The heroism shown by members of the judiciary has been the most important indicator that the tutelary judicial understanding of the past, which waited for the coup plotters at 'attention', has become history. With July 15, the era of coups in our country has closed forever, never to be opened again. We will continue to mix the mortar of the bridge we have built from the past to the future with our unity, our brotherhood, our love for independence, and our love for the homeland and the nation. That night, our nation did not just repel the treacherous coup attempt; it showed the power of its commitment to unity, solidarity, and democracy to the whole world. July 15 is a historic and epic answer given to imperialists and their collaborators. For this reason, we will continue to commemorate the July 15 Epic with a spirit that will keep it alive and build the future. It is the duty of all of us not to forget, not to let it be forgotten, and to keep the cherished memories of our martyrs alive. As the Ministry of National Education, we accept it as our primary duty to raise our young generations as individuals who are committed to their national and spiritual values and kneaded with the love of the homeland. By transferring the spirit of July 15 and the resistance of our nation to our young generations, we aim for our children to always be brave and self-sacrificing individuals who are committed to their homeland, nation, and flag. On this occasion, on the anniversary of July 15, I once again commemorate all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland with mercy, and I express my gratitude and appreciation to our veterans.
