The CHP's Second Century Change Congress, where charter amendments will be discussed, will begin its work tomorrow.

According to information obtained, the charter amendment will introduce a three-term limit for members of parliament and mayors. According to the draft text accepted by the charter commission, the term limit will be considered to have started as of the 27th Legislative Term in Parliament. A similar clause was passed for mayors. If a primary election is held under the supervision of the organization, a quota of up to 15 percent will be set; if a primary election is held under the supervision of a judge, a 5 percent quota will be determined.

The women's quota will be set at 35 percent. The youth quota will be divided into two. The 18-25 age quota was set at 10 percent, and the 25-40 age quota was set at 15 percent for the first regular congress to be held. It was also decided that the quotas would be increased in subsequent congresses.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

According to information obtained from party sources, membership dues will range between 120 liras and 6,000 liras. Criteria such as serving as a ballot box official, conducting election work in the ballot box area, and participating in campaigns and rallies during the election period will be determined for members to be able to vote in primary elections.

CHP MOBILE APPLICATION

According to information obtained, all delegates downloaded the CHP mobile application to their phones at the request of Chairman Özgür Özel. Delegates will scan the QR codes placed at the entrance of the congress into their mobile applications. When this application is further developed, it will also be used at rallies.

It was learned that the clause stating that municipal employees cannot vote was removed from the charter. Accordingly, municipal employees will be able to vote at the congress. Those working in municipalities will not be able to become provincial or district chairpersons or administrators.

FIRST STEPS OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Party staff stated that footage that could be considered the first videos of the election campaign will be shared starting now.
