Two months after the absolute nullity decision, CHP's elected Chairman Özgür Özel bid farewell to his party of 34 years, the CHP, in a statement during the parliamentary group meeting and announced that they would form a new party within a few days.
Following Özel's farewell statement, a large number of figures officially resigned from the CHP.

Following Özel's new party announcement, all eyes turned to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP Chairmanship by a court decision.

According to Mahir Kılıç from Habertürk, Kılıçdaroğlu met with the deputies who support him. It was stated that during the meeting, Kılıçdaroğlu gave a message that no negative statements should be made regarding Özel and other figures who will leave the party.
Kılıçdaroğlu's speech to the deputies supporting him is as follows:
"From now on, our goal is power. We will not oppose the opposition. We will make our criticisms directed at the government. We will not make any negative statements about those who have left. They were our companions on the road at one time. We will not leave any deputy or companion under accusations such as being 'dishonorable.' We will explain our program."
