The reactionary newspaper Yeni Akit carried to its front page the assessment made by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP chairmanship by a decision of absolute nullity, regarding Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. The newspaper highlighted the phrase "he is not a political prisoner" used by Kılıçdaroğlu in an interview with Euronews.
On the front page, the following was stated regarding Kılıçdaroğlu's words: "CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu unmasked İmamoğlu, who presents himself as a victim at every opportunity." The report also addressed the political debates surrounding İmamoğlu's imprisonment through these remarks.

Another report regarding the anniversary of the CHP's founding was also featured on the same page. The newspaper used the headline "Oppression is 103 years old" for the 103rd anniversary of the CHP.
In the report in question, the following statements were included: "The Republican People's Party, which has been at odds with the nation's values since its founding on September 9, 1923, and has been responsible for tyrannies such as the imposition of the hat, the ban on the call to prayer, the Independence Tribunals, the conversion of mosques into stables, and the headscarf oppression, has entered its 103rd year. The CHP, a party of congresses that ruled the country with a single-party dictatorship until 1946, is known today for its internal power struggles, while its 103-year dark record remains fresh in memories."
In his Euronews interview, Kılıçdaroğlu had said regarding İmamoğlu's situation: "Now we cannot just stand up, declare someone a presidential candidate, and then call this a political case because of what happened. After all, I am the one who went and voted for his candidacy. Presidential candidacy is separate, these cases are separate."
