Kılıçdaroğlu's wreath was not accepted at the ceremony held for Ahmet Telli: Statement from Kılıçdaroğlu's camp
At the memorial ceremony held in Ankara for Ahmet Telli, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's wreath was not allowed into the venue. Müslim Sarı stated that the incident had nothing to do with the family.
It has been reported that the wreath sent on behalf of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was not allowed into the venue at the memorial ceremony held in Ankara for the late poet and writer Ahmet Telli.
The ceremony took place at the Necatibey building of the Chamber of Civil Engineers. Sources stated that the wreath sent by Kılıçdaroğlu, who is noted in records as having been appointed to the CHP administration by a decision of absolute nullity, was not accepted into the area and was sent back.
Following the incident, Müslim Sarı from Kılıçdaroğlu's camp made a statement. Stating that the refusal to allow the wreath into the ceremony area had nothing to do with Telli's family, Sarı used the following expressions:
The fact that our Chairman Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's wreath was not allowed into the ceremony area at poet Ahmet Telli's funeral today has nothing to do with Telli's family. This approach is primarily a sign of disrespect toward the Great Poet. Our Chairman will visit the family in the coming days to offer his condolences. Respectfully announced to the public.
