Kılıçdaroğlu sends formal notice to YENİ Party: 'Give it back'

A new controversy has emerged between the CHP and the YENİ Party regarding 5 million 100 thousand Turkish Lira allegedly transferred from the Parliamentary Group budget. According to the claim, the money in the budget, which was created through deductions from the salaries of CHP deputies, was transferred to the YENİ Party through irregular transactions one day before the party's establishment.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who is stated to have been appointed to the position of CHP Chairman following the absolute nullity process, argued that the money in question was transferred from the CHP account to the YENİ Party as a donation. Kılıçdaroğlu announced that they have sent a formal notice to the YENİ Party for the return of the funds.

In his statement, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “They have liquidated the CHP's bank account. This is not ethical at all and is a serious problem. We wrote them a letter and demanded the return of the money. You are using the signature authority for other purposes for your own benefit; this is neither ethical nor right. Otherwise, other problems will arise from the Court of Accounts audit, and the money that will come to us from the Treasury could be cut.”

Kılıçdaroğlu stated that if the requested amount is not returned, they will resort to legal action. Stating that they could file a criminal complaint against Özgür Özel and other YENİ Party executives, Kılıçdaroğlu claimed that the money transfer was unlawful.

LETTER SENT TO YENİ PARTY

Stating that they sent a letter for the return of the money, Kılıçdaroğlu argued that the signature authority was used for other purposes.

“CRIMINAL COMPLAINT IF NOT RETURNED”

Kılıçdaroğlu announced that if payment is not made despite the formal notice, they will file a criminal complaint against Özgür Özel and other YENİ Party executives. Arguing that the issue could have financial consequences for the party, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that problems could arise during the Court of Accounts audit and that deductions could be made from the Treasury aid to the CHP.
