KONDA Istanbul poll: A striking gap between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Murat Kurum!

KONDA Research has shared the results of its latest election poll conducted in Istanbul, the city where the local election results are most highly anticipated. According to the results, there is a gap of over 7 percent between the CHP candidate, incumbent Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and the People's Alliance candidate, Murat Kurum.

With only days remaining until the local elections on March 31, 2024, public opinion research companies have accelerated their polling efforts.

In Istanbul, one of the cities where the race is most closely watched in these critical elections, the contest is expected to be between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Murat Kurum.

Most recently, KONDA Research shared the results of its Istanbul poll, which was conducted with 2,489 people between March 2 and 3.

In the survey, which was carried out in 135 neighborhoods, participants were asked who they would vote for in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral election.

The voting preferences of the participants were as follows;

Ekrem İmamoğlu: 38.2 percent.

Murat Kurum: 32.2 percent.

While 6 percent of those who participated in the poll remained undecided, 12.5 percent was the vote share for other candidates.

The picture that emerged after the undecided voters were distributed is as follows:

Those who will vote for CHP candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu are at 46.1 percent,

while those who said they would vote for Murat Kurum are at 38.8 percent.

When participants were asked to mark their voting preferences,

Ekrem İmamoğlu was at 46 percent,

and Murat Kurum was answered as 38.9 percent.
