Kurdish-language İmamoğlu banner unfurled on Diyarbakır walls! Police intervened, arrests made

Banners written in Kurdish as "Azadi İmamoğlu" and in English as "Free İmamoğlu" were hung on the walls of Diyarbakır by the CHP Bağlar District Presidency in support of Ekrem İmamoğlu. Party members who gathered at Mardin Gate in the morning hours attempted to place the banners on the walls while chanting "Rights, law, justice."

However, police teams intervened during the hanging of the banners. As a result of the intervention, the banners were not permitted to remain, and several party members, including CHP Bağlar District Chair Çiğdem Özturan Kurt, Acting Provincial Chair Remzi Sürek, and party executive Recep Yavuz, were detained. The detained party members were taken to the police station for administrative processing. It was reported that the procedures at the police station are ongoing.
