Local election and candidacy statement from People's Alliance partner BBP

Regarding the provinces where they will field candidates in the municipal elections, Destici stated, "We are preparing for the elections, we are continuing our work. We will field candidates in provinces except for metropolitan cities."

Highlights from Destici's statements:

Our martyrs have arrived. Our hearts are burning. They have been burning for 40 years, but we haven't had this many casualties in a long time. I commemorate our martyrs with mercy once again. I offer my condolences to their families. May God alleviate their pain. May He grant them intercession in heaven, I hope.

This is the tweet I posted. What am I saying? Terrorism must be fought comprehensively, with all its elements. Those parties were not making a sound while their logos were being shared together. Their grassroots were uncomfortable with the fact that while they themselves were on the right, they were supporting the candidates of the PKK and DHKP-C. We have brought this discomfort to light.

Their grassroots were already seriously uncomfortable. They were bothered by the reminder of their past associations. We are pleased with anyone who distances themselves from terrorist organizations. Before the May 28 elections, these parties acted together and all of them were going to benefit. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu met with the HDP at that time. Sırrı Sakık said, "announce it." Why didn't those who reacted to me react then? Why didn't they show the sensitivity they showed when getting up from or sitting down at the table?

"OF COURSE I WILL SPEAK OUT"

Whoever cooperates with the extensions of terrorist organizations provides tacit support because they are providing legitimacy. Is the DEM the party of the PKK? It is the party of the PKK. Don't Ms. Akşener, Mr. Karamollaoğlu, and Mr. Davutoğlu know this? Of course, I will accuse those who continue to cooperate. This is justified; it is something with a foundation. If other political parties work with the CHP and support a joint candidate, of course, I will speak out. If they have distanced themselves, we will appreciate it.

The DEM Party should be closed down one hundred percent. In no country are there representatives of a terrorist organization in parliament. They are acting as spokespeople for a terrorist organization. Even if the topic is agriculture, health, or education, they bring the subject to Kandil or Öcalan and act as their spokespeople. There have been times when we have spoken with our President. We have said it in every period. We are telling the truth.

DESTİCİ EXPLAINED HIS PARTY'S RED LINE

Whoever cooperates with any branch of a terrorist organization supports terrorism. The CHP supports terrorism; whoever engages in this cooperation supports it. Our parties exchange holiday greetings. They sometimes prepare joint legislative proposals. Whoever does not take a stance, in our view, is tacitly supporting terrorist elements. I am not talking. I haven't spoken to any of them for 5 years. I did not attend the sessions chaired by their Deputy Speaker of Parliament. They can engage in politics, they can express their thoughts. Our red line is terrorism and violence. There is parliamentary immunity. Other than that, there should be no immunity. They have the blood of tens of thousands of civilians on their hands because they praise, defend, and legitimize terrorism and violence. If anyone does not condemn them, we will distance ourselves. If everyone distances themselves, they cannot gain legitimacy.

DEATH PENALTY

We want the death penalty for terrorist crimes, for those who pull the trigger, detonate the bomb, and for terrorist crimes that end in death, and for those who kidnap our girls, rape them, and kill them. It must come. If this nation gives us the authority, we will bring back the death penalty for these two crimes. Whoever supports terrorism, the state must do what is necessary. If we leave one of these elements out in the fight against terrorism, terrorism will continue to exist.

CÜNEYT ÖZDEMİR

If a smart friend like Cüneyt Özdemir didn't understand this, he is either trying to get on the agenda. Some clearly have a discomfort. When I brought this to light, they felt even greater discomfort. The channel is already closed to us; have they ever hosted us once? I am telling the truth, but if he wants to understand it the way he understands it, he is welcome to do so.

"I DO NOT AGREE WITH MANY OF HÜDA-PAR'S IDEAS"

Every party can express its views. There may also be dissenting opinions. The sources that everyone refers to may be different. Someone might also take socialism as a reference. I respect them all. For me, the line is terrorism and violence. I do not agree with many of HÜDA-PAR's ideas. As long as they do not resort to terrorism and violence, they can share their views. When he read a paragraph about autonomy and federalism, I said, "You are saying this, but do you want federalism and autonomy?" HÜDA-PAR did not cooperate with the People's Alliance. It cooperated with the Justice and Development Party.

PARTY FUNDING

On Monday, we will celebrate our party's 31st anniversary and the opening of our new service building. This year, 7 billion liras were put into the coffers of 5 political parties. Wouldn't 700 million liras be enough? Is it right to give this while the state is in such economic distress? The Constitutional Court, which still allows this, is the BBP, a party that does not receive this aid and yet enters all elections. Since the day it was founded, it has had a specific weight higher than the votes it received.

THE SIVAS ISSUE

We support the People's Alliance. It is an alliance established against the treacherous July 15. The grassroots of these 3 parties led this. Did we want Sivas in the 2024 local elections? We did. We received around 1 million votes in the local elections, and these votes must be transferred to the People's Alliance. If Sivas is given, it will motivate these voters, and they will work more self-sacrificingly. When the AK Party announced its Sivas candidate, we saw that this was not the case. We made our own candidate, our brother Adem Uzun, the candidate.

"WE WILL FIELD CANDIDATES IN PROVINCES EXCEPT FOR METROPOLITAN CITIES"

I believe that we will not field candidates in the hometowns of our President and Mr. Bahçeli. Just as the Turkish Armed Forces are clearing them from the mountains, our duty is to find and remove them from the municipalities. The BBP conducts politics with this sensitivity. The BBP must continue to grow stronger. It must make strategic moves and show itself to the state and the nation. We are preparing for the elections, we are continuing our work. We will field candidates in provinces except for metropolitan cities. We can evaluate places where there is a need for cooperation, but this is not my decision; we will discuss it with our friends.

ANKARA MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

İsmail Saymaz uses the first news he sees. Our Provincial Chairman stated that our Üsküdar District Chairman had some acts of indiscipline. It is out of the question for a candidate to be supported without the approval of the Headquarters. It was conveyed to me that there is a district chairman who has been having problems with the Provincial Organization for a long time. It is a positive thing for us that the two candidates in Ankara are Turkish nationalists, but Mansur Bey being a candidate from the CHP has dulled his nationalism. The CHP is not a political view that embraces Turkish nationalism. Mansur Yavaş went there to win the mayoralty. Would Mr. Turgut have been a candidate from the CHP? He would not. Would I be? I would not. It has recorded its founding principles. Why doesn't Mansur Yavaş react to these? It comes to his mind that he is a Turkish nationalist when he wants it. He accepts it to maintain the mayoralty. There is a Turkish nationalist candidate in Ankara, and that is Mr. Altınok.

"WE WILL STERILIZE, WE WILL EUTHANIZE IF NECESSARY"

Wherever we are given a municipality, there will be no aggressive stray dogs in that municipality. We will build animal shelters and perform sterilization. We will euthanize if necessary. When we took over the Sivas Municipality, there were 1,100 stray animals. We solved it by building a shelter. Now there are 10,000 animals. How will we build a shelter? Pet food companies are consciously increasing these numbers. We will expose this.
