Lütfü Savaş prepares for a new annulment lawsuit

The first hearing of the lawsuit, which was filed in separate courts by former Hatay Mayor Lütfü Savaş, who was expelled from the CHP, and delegates Yılmaz Özkanat, Hatip Karaaslan, and Kamile Bahar Önal, demanding the annulment of the 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023, and the removal of its authorized bodies from office, and which was subsequently consolidated at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance, has been held.

"WE WILL FILE ANOTHER ANNULMENT LAWSUIT NEXT WEEK"

Lütfü Savaş's lawyer, Onur Yusuf Üregen, made the following statement to journalists after the hearing:

"No decision was expected at this stage because there is a file being processed by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. An indictment has not yet been formed in that prosecutor's file. The court decided to wait for that prosecutor's file and to issue a writ for the investigation file to be summoned by the next hearing. Apart from this, there was an application made to the YSK regarding the 21st Extraordinary Congress; it was decided that a letter should be written for that as well. The court adjourned the hearing; there is no decision for now. We will also file an annulment lawsuit for the 21st Extraordinary Congress; we will likely file a lawsuit regarding that next week."
