Republican People's Party (CHP) Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Zonguldak Deputy Deniz Yavuzyılmaz has released the documents he submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Commission regarding the mining disaster in Erzincan İliç via his social media account.
Stating that "the disaster came right before our eyes," Yavuzyılmaz disclosed data indicating that the landslide at the site where the gold mine is located had been detected months earlier.
In his post, Yavuzyılmaz used the following expressions:

I am sharing the official document and georadar images proving that the landslide in the heap leach area where the disaster occurred had been detected months in advance.
