Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş said, "Preparing spaces where our fellow citizens of all age groups can socialize, spend time, and be with people is one of the most important duties of a municipality."

Speaking at the opening of the social facilities, Yavaş stated that the Pensioner Activity Center and Pensioners' Assembly, Disability Club, and Personal Development Center, which were completed in 5 different parts of the city, have been opened.

Stating that the facilities were opened to contribute to increasing the quality of life of pensioners and disabled individuals and to support them socially and culturally, Yavaş said, "They only understand social municipalism in terms of social support. Preparing spaces where our fellow citizens of all age groups can socialize, spend time, and be with people is one of the most important duties of a municipality."

Expressing that they have implemented human-oriented projects and that all the projects carried out are human-oriented, Yavaş also said that they will establish a Pensioners' Assembly to serve pensioners better in the future. Yavaş said, "Just like in the city council, they will somehow make decisions and send them to us, and hopefully, we will make our decisions in the municipal council in line with their demands."

Stating that he has declared his assets and that as mayors they want to walk with their heads held high, Yavaş noted the following:

"The way to do this is through transparency and open tenders. It is about being accountable and managing the city with common sense. We said let us be the pioneers. What was it when we started the duty, and what is it now? Finally, he said, 'The assets do not belong to me, they belong to God.' I have been serving as mayor for 5 years, and inspectors have come constantly. Our complaints are still pending. Not a single one of my personnel has gone to the prosecutor's office. I will continue until you declare it."
