Mansur Yavaş's rival Turgut Altınok promises free transport cards to village heads

People's Alliance Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) mayoral candidate Turgut Altınok met with village heads (muhtars) as part of his election campaign.

In his speech at the program organized by the MHP Ankara Provincial Presidency at the Ankara Konağı, Altınok recalled that he has been noting the demands from muhtars since the day he started his election campaign, and stated that he has many projects and good news for them.

Explaining the social aid and services they will implement if he is elected mayor, Altınok said the following:

"We will provide cards to our muhtars whose needs are not met by district municipalities, to cover their monthly natural gas, electricity, and stationery expenses of 1,500 liras. We will provide computers to all our muhtars. We will provide free transport cards to our muhtars. We will build social facilities for our muhtars."

Stating that only 4 percent of the municipal budget is currently used for aid, Altınok said that when he takes office, he wants to provide social aid with 10 percent of this budget and that they aim to make Ankara a world capital.

Altınok also stated that they will share the projects they have developed to solve transportation problems in detail in the coming days.

During his speech, upon the request of the muhtars in the hall, Turgut Altınok also promised that security cameras would be installed by the Metropolitan Municipality at the entrances and exits of villages that do not have them.

Following his speech, Altınok listened to the problems and demands of the muhtars.

At the end of the program, a commemorative photograph was taken.
