As the local elections approach, news of a mass resignation has come from the Future Party, led by Ahmet Davutoğlu.

In Bolu, the entire management staff and members of the Future Party have resigned en masse.

Future Party Bolu Provincial Chair Özkan Güneç, Central District Chair Sefer Gülen, Youth Branch Chair Utku Erişen, and Women's Branch Chair Elif Aksu, along with the provincial and district management, resigned from their party en masse and joined the MHP.

The badge-pinning ceremony held at the MHP Bolu Provincial Headquarters was attended by MHP Provincial Chair Ayhan Çelikkol, MHP Bolu Deputy İsmail Akgül, and party members.

Stating that he resigned from his post, which he had held for 3.5 years, Özkan Güneç said, "Due to necessity, I, along with my provincial vice chairs, provincial management, district chairs and their management, youth branch chairs and their management, women's branch chairs and their management, and our members, have resigned en masse from the Future Party Bolu founding provincial chairmanship and my current role as provincial chair, and have joined the ranks of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). We will always stand by our leader Devlet Bahçeli and our party."
