Mass resignation earthquake in the Victory Party! “We are returning to our home, the MHP”

Victory Party Adana Provincial Chairman Ayhan Binboğa announced that the entire administration and 87 party members have resigned along with them.

"FETÖ INFILTRATIONS BEGAN IN OUR PARTY DURING THE ELECTIONS"

In his statement, Binboğa addressed the reason for the resignation, saying, “FETÖ-like infiltrations began in our party during the parliamentary elections. I tried to take precautions by informing the chairman and the headquarters about this. The chairman had warned me, saying, ‘I am telling you about 2 people; you will absolutely not appoint them to any position.’ One of them has 5 files at the prosecutor's office. One is for insulting the president, and the others are related to a FETÖ investigation. He also warned about the other person due to an ongoing investigation for violence against women. However, the FETÖ mentality and FETÖ-like movements have become so influential that one of the individuals he mentioned was brought into a high-level position. As the provincial chairman, neither my opinion nor the opinions of my deputy provincial chairman in charge of organization, my deputy provincial chairman in charge of election affairs, or my deputy provincial chairman in charge of political affairs were taken regarding the Victory Party's parliamentary candidate list in Adana. But the person trying to infiltrate the party from the outside with FETÖ-like methods personally made the list of names and had it approved by the headquarters. When a file we submitted as the Adana provincial organization to the headquarters, which had been investigated and sent, was not processed, I want to say here that resignation became inevitable for us; our stance is not against individuals, but against events based on our principled position,” he said.

Binboğa stated that tomorrow they will join the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) along with all the resigning administrators, district chairmen, council members, mayoral candidates, and party members who resigned, saying, “We are returning to our home, the MHP.”

Following Binboğa's statements, Deputy Provincial Chairman in Charge of Organization Ömer Faruk Cerit also spoke, saying, “In light of all these negative developments, as Turkish nationalists following in the footsteps of Atatürk and at the service of the Turkish nation, we are resigning from all our duties in the Victory Party and our party memberships. We have resigned along with all our administrators and a total of 87 members. We ask our citizens who supported us during the elections to forgive us.”
