Mustafa Bıyık, who was elected Mayor of Yomra from the IYI Party in the March 31 Local Elections, had resigned shortly after taking office.
It has been learned that Bıyık, who has been continuing his term as an independent for some time, will join the CHP.
Mustafa Erdi Çakır, Deputy Chairman of the CHP Youth Organizations, stated in a post on his social media account that Bıyık would join the CHP.

The CHP had supported Bıyık by not fielding a candidate in Yomra. With Bıyık's participation, the number of municipalities held by the CHP in Trabzon will rise to 3.
