Meeting between President Erdoğan and Akşener concludes

It was announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would meet with former İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener today.

The meeting between Erdoğan and Akşener began at 17:00.

This marks Akşener's first public appearance since handing over the İYİ Party chairmanship to Müsavat Dervişoğlu on May 1.

The face-to-face meeting at the Presidential Complex in Beştepe, between the two who had previously spoken over the phone, lasted approximately 40 minutes. No statement was made following the meeting.

It was noted that former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener's first political visit after stepping down from the chairmanship was with President Erdoğan.
