Memleket Party's 'Gaza' response to Davutoğlu

Following MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's 24-hour ultimatum and call for "intervention in Gaza," Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu and Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu had expressed their support for Bahçeli's statement.

Following these statements, the Memleket Party criticized Ahmet Davutoğlu on its social media account.

''WE WILL BUY THE PLANE TICKET TO GAZA''

In a post made from the party's official account, it stated, "No one can ask for our Mehmetçik (Turkish soldiers) to go to Gaza for the sake of their personal political future! If Mr. Davutoğlu wants to fight in Gaza, we, as the Memleket Party, are ready to cover the cost of his plane ticket to Gaza. What falls to us is to 'continue diplomatic initiatives' to persuade the parties to make peace."

Reacting to Israel's massacres in Gaza, Bahçeli had said, "If a ceasefire cannot be achieved within 24 hours, if bombs continue to be dropped on the oppressed, Turkey must intervene immediately and do whatever is required by its historical, humanitarian, and faith-based responsibilities. Undertaking the mission to protect and watch over Gaza is the legacy of our ancestors. The Republic of Turkey is ready and capable of making Gaza a city of smiling children, an Islamic land where our brothers will live in peace and security."
