Menzil, which remains on the agenda ahead of local elections, makes a 'preference' statement: 'As those who follow his path...'

The Semerkand Foundation, affiliated with the Menzil Community, has announced its support for the People's Alliance in the March 31 Local Elections, pointing to the Menzil sheikh who passed away last July.

The statement from the Semerkand Foundation, which announced its support via X, included the following expressions:

"Sheikh Seyyid Abdulbaki Elhüseyni (may his secret be sanctified), the Servant of Muslims who passed away to the afterlife last July, spent his life in the service of knowledge and guidance, stood on the side of truth throughout his life, and made efforts for the unity and solidarity of the believers. Especially in the last 20 years, he has resolutely stood by the interests of the ummah and the nation during all critical processes.

As those who continue his tradition and follow his path, we state that we maintain our stance from the past and that we support the People's Alliance in the March 31 Local Elections. It is our prayer to Allah Almighty that the elections will lead to auspicious outcomes in line with the interests of the ummah."

It was observed that the Beşir Foundation, the Genç-Kon Association, and TÜMSIAD also signed the statement alongside the Semerkand Foundation.
