Meral Akşener confession from Selçuk Özdağ years later! Look what she said in 2019...

Gelecek Party Parliamentary Group Deputy Chair Selçuk Özdağ made statements regarding the agenda during a television program he attended.

Speaking on TELE1, Özdağ's remarks about IYI Party Founding Chair Meral Akşener drew attention.

Stating that Akşener offered him a candidacy for the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality in the 2019 local elections, Özdağ said, "When Meral Akşener offered me the metropolitan mayoralty in 2019, they had given Manisa to the IYI Party when they were cooperating with the Republican People's Party, and she told me, 'Mr. Selçuk, you are winning.' She said, 'Go be a candidate, then join the AKP a year later.'"

"As a politician of 32 years, having engaged in politics for many years with Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, having served as a member of parliament and deputy chairman for three terms in the Justice and Development Party, and now as someone in the opposition who has returned from the brink of death, I say this: You will stay where you received votes from. Sir, you cannot carry those people's votes from one place to another. In Muğla, CHP members, Gelecek, Saadet, DEVA, and Democrat Party members, and mostly Republican People's Party members voted for me. I was elected that way; can you now take these votes and move them there? When Meral Akşener offered me the metropolitan mayoralty in 2019, they had given Manisa to the IYI Party when they were cooperating with the Republican People's Party, and she told me, 'Mr. Selçuk, you are winning.' She said, 'Go be a candidate, then join the AKP a year later.' 'If you join, or if Mr. Ahmet founds a party, you go and join,' she said. I said, 'Wait a minute,' I said, 'I cannot carry those votes there.'"

Mr. Ahmet also asked me. 'Will you come?' he said. 'I will not come,' I said. I am going to be mayor there with IYI Party members and CHP members. I will sign a 5-year contract and then I will move?
