Meral Akşener Foundation established with 5 million TL: Notable Mehmetçik Foundation detail
The foundation established by Meral Akşener has been registered to operate in the fields of education, health, social assistance, culture, and the environment.
The Meral Akşener Foundation, established by former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener, has been officially registered. According to the announcement by the General Directorate of Foundations of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the foundation will be based in Istanbul.
The registration process for the foundation was finalized by the decision of the Istanbul Anatolian 34th Civil Court of First Instance. The announcement stated that the foundation's initial assets consist of 5 million TL in cash.
The purpose of the foundation, as stated in the official announcement, is to develop projects, conduct research and studies, and provide assistance and contributions to meet the needs of society in the fields of education, social affairs, culture, the environment, and health.
In addition to Meral Akşener, Esma Bekar and Fatih Akşener are on the foundation's board of directors.
The announcement also included the procedure to be followed in the event of the foundation's dissolution. Accordingly, any remaining assets and rights after the liquidation of debts will be transferred to the Mehmetçik Foundation.
