Meral Akşener reveals her greatest wish: 'I would like to meet at a common table'

Speaking during a meeting at her home in Ankara, the founding Chair of the İYİ Party, Meral Akşener, responded to claims regarding a return to politics. The details of the interview were shared by Aytunç Erkin on the tv100 channel.

Nefes newspaper columnist Aytunç Erkin shared the details of his meeting with Akşener with the public on the program "Eşit Ağırlık" (Equal Weight) hosted by Erdoğan Aktaş. Erkin relayed the answer Akşener gave to the question of whether she would return to active politics.

"I AM NOT CONSIDERING ENTERING POLITICS"

According to Erkin, Akşener expressed with clear statements that she has no intention of returning to politics. It was stated that when asked, "Are you considering returning to politics?" Akşener replied, "No, I have no such concern or desire."

It was also stated that Akşener shared her expectations regarding the İYİ Party. Expressing that she desires her party to be in a strong position, it was reported that Akşener said, "I want the İYİ Party to be in good places. I want the İYİ Party to strengthen and produce good policies."

"I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AROUND A COMMON TABLE"

In the statements Erkin relayed on the program, the following words of Akşener were included:

"When I asked, 'Are you considering returning to politics?', she said, 'No, I have no such concern or desire. I want the İYİ Party to be in good places. I want the İYİ Party to strengthen and produce good policies. But I have this dream: I would like to meet and talk around a common table with everyone on the right or left in Turkey, with everyone who lives on these lands and wants to fight for these lands.'"
