During the voting, it was decided that the proceedings would be held in a closed session, citing concerns regarding election security. Following this decision, the meeting hall was closed to members of the press and the public.
CHP Spokesperson Müslüm Sarı had previously announced that his party's candidate for the deputy mayor position was Gülşah Yıldırım Genç. The outcome of the election will be clarified once the closed session concludes.
