Kılıçdaroğlu wrote, "I commemorate my Chairman, Mr. Deniz Baykal, a lover of the Republic of Turkey and a valuable politician and statesman who left us a life story full of struggles as a legacy from his political life spanning more than half a century, with respect, mercy, and longing on the 1st anniversary of his passing."
