Message from terrorist leader Öcalan to Erkan Baş for a new party! 'Get a suggestion from him...'

It is alleged that terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan sent a message to Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) Chairman Erkan Baş through the DEM Party Imralı delegation that came to meet with him.

According to journalist Ruşen Çakır's article titled "Where does the Turkish left stand in this process?" on MedyaScope, the terrorist leader requested that a name suggestion be obtained from Erkan Baş for the new party and invited Baş to join the party.

It is claimed that during his meeting with the DEM Party Imralı delegation, Öcalan used the following expressions to be conveyed to Erkan Baş:

“Convey my greetings to Erkan Baş. I have named the new party the ‘Democratic Republic Party.’ I have shared this name with friends here as well. However, talk to him and explain that this is an initiative that could evolve into an organizational unity on the basis of a ‘Democratic Socialism Party.’ We are talking about a possible formation. Get a party name suggestion from him as well. Convey this message along with my greetings. It may be possible for them to join the new structure.”
