Message of 'Peace and Solution' from Figen Yüksekdağ: 'We are ready for responsibility'

Former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, who is imprisoned in the Kandıra F-Type High-Security Prison, made a statement after a long hiatus following the visit of the Imralı Delegation. 

WE ARE READY TO CONTRIBUTE 

Addressing the public via social media, Yüksekdağ stated, "We are ready to take on the responsibility that falls upon us and to contribute to the movement for an honorable peace and a democratic solution."

In her statement, Yüksekdağ drew attention to Turkey's need for peace, justice, and democracy, saying, "Mr. Öcalan's effort to take initiative and move forward is very valuable and decisive." Stating that it does not matter whether one is inside or outside for a democratic solution, Yüksekdağ said that this process will progress with everyone's contribution.

Furthermore, emphasizing Öcalan's role in the peace process, Yüksekdağ said, "Our wish is for Mr. Öcalan to be able to fulfill his role as a focus of peace and solution in the most effective way by providing him with healthy working conditions. All dynamics of society must take initiative for peace."
