MetroPOLL survey: Citizens want Erdoğan and Özel to meet again
A survey conducted by MetroPOLL Research has revealed that a large majority of citizens want AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan and CHP Chairman Özel to come together to lower political tensions.
MetroPOLL Research conducted a survey in May 2025 with the participation of 2,717 people.
In this survey, participants were asked the question, "Do you think Erdoğan and Özel should meet again to reduce tension in politics?"
According to the survey results, 69.9 percent of participants supported this meeting, while 25.9 percent opposed it.
These results show that a large segment of society expects political leaders to establish a dialogue and reduce the current tension.
The survey also included the political leanings of the participants, although these data were not detailed.
This situation indicates that there may also be differences of opinion among political parties.
