Metropoll's latest poll delivers a surprise: AKP officials satisfied with the results
In Metropoll Research's August poll, the AKP emerged as the leading party, and it has been learned that party officials commented, "Votes have started returning earlier than we anticipated."
Following the March 31 Local Elections, the CHP became the leading party across Turkey for the first time in 47 years, while the AKP fell to second place for the first time.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in his speech at his party's charter congress, reiterated that they are consistently the leading party and stated that they would come to power in the first election to be held.
However, in the latest poll conducted by Metropoll Research in August, it was observed that the AKP has become the leading party once again.

According to AKP sources, voters who cast ballots for other parties due to various reasons, primarily economic difficulties, began to reclaim these "loaned" votes after experiencing issues with local services over the past 6 months.
According to a report by the Türkiye newspaper, which is known for its proximity to the government, AKP officials who are satisfied with the results argued that "votes that had drifted away from the party have started to return earlier than they had estimated."
AKP staff described their observations on the ground as follows: "Especially in municipalities that switched from the AK Party to the CHP or other parties, citizens have seen the following: None of the promises made before the election have been fulfilled. There are many demands, but no solutions. The voters had given us a warning, but today they are very uncomfortable with the disruption of their comfort zone. The start of a decline in inflation has increased confidence in the economy. Citizens have once again seen who they can trust. They have realized that the opposition will not be a remedy. Citizens are particularly angry due to nepotistic appointments in municipalities."
