MHP, which criticized the YSK, calls for electronic voting!
MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız, in a statement following the rejection of their objection to the election results in Kütahya, said, "It is essential to switch to an electronic voting system to put an end to these debates."
MHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Legal and Election Affairs Feti Yıldız made a statement after the Supreme Election Council (YSK) rejected his party's request to cancel the Kütahya Mayoral election.
Criticizing the YSK's decision, Yıldız stated that it is essential to switch to an electronic voting system to put an end to such election debates.
As reported by Cumhuriyet, Yıldız stated on his social media account, "Our objection for the 'cancellation and renewal of elections' due to full illegality, which we filed with the YSK regarding the Kütahya Mayoral elections, has been rejected. Standards cannot be achieved in the results of objections due to various reasons, primarily the fact that the investigation process does not allow for going into detail."
"IT IS ESSENTIAL TO SWITCH TO AN ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM"
Calling for elections to be held via an electronic system, Yıldız said, "To put an end to all these debates, it is essential to switch to an electronic voting system. The legal regulation must be made without delay."
In the March 31 local elections, CHP's Kütahya candidate Eyüp Kahveci won the election with 40 thousand 712 (29.69 percent) votes. MHP candidate Alim Işık came in second with 40 thousand 110 (29.25 percent) votes.
