MHP council member resigns from party: 'I was not supported'

In her statement, Köse cited the lack of support from her party following personal difficulties she experienced with the Deputy Mayor of Bilecik as the reason for her resignation.

In her statement, Köse noted the following:
"Following the argument that took place between myself and Bilecik Deputy Mayor Mesut Ünver, I was left to fight alone against the attitude displayed toward me, first and foremost as a woman. I hereby announce to the public that I am resigning from the MHP, a party for which I have worked wholeheartedly, sacrificing my family life and my business career since the date my membership began and especially during the local election campaigns. No matter what games are played, no one will be able to silence me from speaking out for the benefit of the public. Everything is for Bilecik, and I will continue in this regard."
