MHP council member resigns! 'I do not grant my forgiveness'

Resignations continue in the MHP-led municipality in the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar. Following the recent departure of Cafer Kovan from the party, Elif Topçu Güçlü, the only female member of the Municipal Council, also announced her resignation. In her statement, Güçlü directed harsh criticisms at MHP Bolvadin District Chairman Mahmut Kızıltoprak.

Güçlü stated, "As of 07.11.2025, I have resigned from my party and will continue my municipal council membership as an independent. I declare that I will not bow to the intrigues directed at me, and furthermore, I do not grant my forgiveness to the current district chairman, who believes he can solidify his seat through a woman."

According to a report by Sözcü, Bolvadin Municipality has also been on the agenda recently due to allegations of corruption. It is stated that inspectors have been sent to the municipality following these allegations.
