MHP district chair and board of directors resign!

MHP Demre District Chair Mustafa Başkaya and members of the board of directors have resigned. Explaining the reason for the resignation, Başkaya stated, “With the approach of the March 31, 2024 local government elections and the announcement of mayoral candidates, it has been concluded that I and my organization cannot work sincerely and efficiently in the current climate. Together with our board members, we have resigned from our district chairmanship and board memberships, while retaining our party memberships.”

MHP district chair and board of directors resign!

Mustafa Başkaya, who was appointed as the Demre District Chair on September 15, 2022, announced that he and the board of directors have resigned.

In his statement regarding the matter, Başkaya said:

"Serving as the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Demre District Chair and as a member of the board of directors since September 15, 2022, has been a great honor for us. The success shown by our party and organization over the past 16 months, along with the favor shown by our people, has further increased our honor and pride. However, at the point reached recently, with the approach of the March 31, 2024 local government elections and the announcement of mayoral candidates, it has been concluded that I and my organization cannot work sincerely and efficiently in the current climate. Together with our board members, we have resigned from our district chairmanship and board memberships, while retaining our party memberships. I would like to express my gratitude to you, my board members, for your dedication, and to our people for the favor they have shown, and I thank everyone."
