MHP figure calls Mansur Yavaş a 'DEM candidate': 'Let them come out and explain'
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Mevlüt Karakaya stated, "Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Mansur Yavaş and Polatlı mayoral candidate Mürsel Yıldızkaya are DEM's candidates."
Speaking at the Project Introduction Meeting of the People's Alliance Polatlı mayoral candidate Levent Çağlancı, MHP Deputy Chairman Mevlüt Karakaya made statements regarding the local elections.
In his speech criticizing the CHP, MHP Deputy Chairman Karakaya said, "Those who were under the table yesterday have been brought onto the table today.
You have seen it in the press; the name of the urban consensus made in Ankara, that is, the new alliance, is between the CHP and the DEM. They are making covert strategic agreements not only where they have an urban consensus, but in other places as well.
In other words, they withdraw their candidates if it suits them, and leave them there if it does not. Their consensus is complete, their alliance is complete. I am saying this briefly here.
"LET THEM COME OUT AND EXPLAIN THAT THEY ARE NOT"
What did the DEM's Ankara candidate say? We have reached an urban consensus in 3 districts in Ankara. Which ones are at the forefront of these? Polatlı comes first; the game is on Polatlı, on Yenimahalle, on Bala. Through whom? Through Mansur Yavaş.
Then we say this: Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Mansur Yavaş and Polatlı mayoral candidate Mürsel Yıldızkaya are DEM's candidates. Let them come out and explain that they are not. They are DEM's candidates, as of today," he stated.
