MHP issues statement on İmamoğlu's arrest! 'It is a necessity of the judicial process'
MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız made statements regarding the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu. Stating that the arrest is a necessity of the trial process, Yıldız said, "In catalog crimes, the existence of strong suspicion of a crime and concrete evidence are grounds for arrest."
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız issued a statement following the decision to arrest Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on allegations of 'corruption'.

In a post on his social media account, Yıldız defined 'arrest' and noted the following:
"Arrest is the restriction of the liberty of a suspect or defendant as a precautionary measure for the integrity of the trial process and to uncover the material truth beyond any doubt.
In catalog crimes, the existence of strong suspicion of a crime and concrete evidence are grounds for arrest. Some political parties have opposed this unconsciously, but with the judicial reforms carried out, a vertical appeal path for arrests has been introduced."
