MHP proposes 'minimum welfare level': 'State should provide support'

MHP Istanbul Deputy İsmail Faruk Aksu presented a proposal stating, "Regardless of which segment of society they belong to, a minimum welfare level should be determined, and the state should provide income support to those who fall below this level." MHP proposes 'minimum welfare level': 'State should provide support'

While citizens complain about low minimum wages and pension payments, an interesting proposal has come from MHP Istanbul Deputy İsmail Faruk Aksu.

IT WOULD BE A 'RADICAL SOLUTION'

According to the report in Türkiye newspaper, Aksu said, “The minimum wage has a dimension that concerns both employees and employers. Pension payments are also essentially related to the premiums paid within the social security system. As the MHP, we are bringing forward a different proposal. We suggest that a minimum welfare level be determined for every segment of society, whether they are workers or retirees, and that the state provide income support to those whose income falls below this minimum welfare level. Therefore, implementing this would be a radical solution.”
