MHP Deputy Chairman and Kayseri MP İsmail Özdemir made statements regarding the 2028 elections at his party's 15th Ordinary Congress of the Kayseri Provincial Presidency. A message from MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli was also read at the congress held at the Kadir Has Congress Center.
Stating in his speech that Turkey has become a country with a say in its region and the world, Özdemir also touched upon the new constitution debates. He said that the MHP had previously expressed that there is a need for a new constitution that is compatible with the 21st-century goals of the Republic of Turkey and that meets the needs of the nation.
Emphasizing that his party's stance regarding the first four articles of the constitution is clear, Özdemir said, "The MHP's stance regarding the first 4 articles of the constitution is as distinct as black thread from white thread. Therefore, I do not even want to enter into these discussions."

Arguing that the general elections will be held in 2028, Özdemir gave his party's message regarding the presidential candidate with the following words:
God willing, the candidate of the nationalist, idealist movement in the elections to be held in 2028 is again our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Stating that the gains Turkey has achieved will be protected, Özdemir used the expression, "We are not going to sacrifice the great gains that Turkey has achieved to the schemes of 3-5 people who do not know their place, or to the flawed calculations of a few small countries."
In the congress held with a single list, the incumbent MHP Kayseri Provincial President Enes Ertuğrul Kalın was re-elected.
