MHP's Fendoğlu praises CHP's Gürsel Erol for his remarks on Bahçeli

The 15th Ordinary Congress of the MHP Elazığ Central District Presidency was held at the Ahmet Tevfik Ozan Congress Center. MHP Malatya Deputy Mehmet Celal Fendoğlu presided over the congress.

In the election, which featured a single candidate, Onur Köseli was elected as the MHP Elazığ Central District President. Speaking at the congress, Fendoğlu drew attention to the statements made by CHP Elazığ Deputy Gürsel Erol at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) General Assembly.

Recalling Erol's words regarding MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli from the parliamentary podium, Fendoğlu said, "I would also like to thank Elazığ Deputy Gürsel Erol today. He made a very courageous speech. He said something on the parliamentary podium that no one else had voiced."

Fendoğlu stated that similar assessments are discussed among deputies but are not voiced from the podium, highlighting Erol's words: "No one but Devlet Bahçeli can end the terror issue."

MHP's Fendoğlu remarked, "We, the deputies, talk among ourselves. I am referring to the six hundred deputies. But no one came and said this from this podium. He said, 'No one but Devlet Bahçeli can end the terror issue.' I give him credit for that."

CHP Elazığ Deputy Gürsel Erol had stated in his speech regarding the "Framework Law" at the TBMM General Assembly that he voted "yes" on the regulation because he viewed it as a matter of state survival and a state issue.

In the same speech, addressing Devlet Bahçeli, Erol had said, "No one other than you could have initiated this process, no one would have dared, and no one could have brought it to the agenda."
