The understanding of aggressive and discriminatory nationalism in the West, which is fed by the theory of a superior race of Germanic and Anglo-Saxon origin, also opens the door to fascist approaches in the political arena.

That is why minority hostility and Islamophobia are highly prevalent in Western societies.

In Turkey, however, the situation presents a picture contrary to this phenomenon.
