MHP statement on İzzet Ulvi Yönter: Denial of claims that he 'did not sign the legislative proposal'

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has issued a statement regarding the debate over signatures for the Bill on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration, which is described as creating the legal framework for the "Terror-Free Turkey" process.

The proposal, for which MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli is the first signatory, was submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) with 360 signatures.

While it was stated that the MHP group gave full support to the proposal, the absence of Istanbul Deputy İzzet Ulvi Yönter from the signature list drew public attention.

In a statement made by MHP Group Deputy Chairman Erkan Akçay, it was stated that reports in some media outlets claiming that "a deputy did not sign the legislative proposal" do not reflect the truth.

Our Nationalist Movement Party TBMM Group signed the Bill on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration together with all our deputies after our esteemed Chairman signed it first.

The statement noted that İzzet Ulvi Yönter was on medical leave due to health issues and therefore was not participating in parliamentary activities.
